Public Housing
When applicants are interviewed, the procedure is explained to them in detail. It takes 4-6 weeks to process an application. Once a public housing application is APPROVED, then the following week a numerical position on the waiting list is available. Until the application is approved, there is no number on the list.

Housing Choice Voucher
We have over 1400 Section 8 applications. All applicants were sent a letter giving them a numerical position on the waiting list and the number of preference points they claimed. That number has not changed.
